Non Domestic Energy Performance Certificate (NDEPC)
What is a Non Domestic Energy Performance Certificate (NDEPC)?
NDEPC (sometimes referred to as EPC) are required for commercial buildings under construction, for sale or rent, and is a rating of the energy performance potential of the building itself and its services. They are produced from SBEM calculations and accompanied by a report, which provides recommendations on how the energy performance of the building may be improved, including an indication of payback periods.
Why do I need an NDEPC?
From 1st October 2008 all commercial buildings under construction, for sale or rent are required by Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) to have a NDEPC. They help owners and occupiers to make their buildings more energy efficient and they allow perspective buyers/tenants to compare buildings, based on energy efficiency.
